FabLab Fabriсator belongs to global Fab Lab network of open local innovative rapid prototyping laboratories. Each Fab Lab gives an opportunity to combine science and technology with Open Source projects and industrial design. You can work within the world's largest inventors community to improve the quality of life.
Concept of Fab Lab was developed by authoritative scientist and professor Neil Gershenfeld at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The initial idea was to launch a platform which provides knowledge, modern materials and technology for entrepreneurs, students, artists, small businesses and anyone who wants to create something new, in order to reduce production time and cost.
Laser cutter supports vector files such as .dxf, .ai, .eps, corel. If you need to engrave an image on a particular material, you can use bitmap images in .jpg or .bmp format. Among materials suitable for laser cutting are: cardboard, paper, wood, MDF, plywood, acrylic up to 10 mm; textiles, leather, foam etc. You can engrave on metal (except copper and aluminum), mirrors and glass.
Open access gives an opportunity to use our lab for your own projects. New users can learn by themselves and get some help from more experienced lab members.
We are a laboratory with easy access to digital technologies, where everyone will find the most suitable collaboration option: membership or residence, paid access to equipment, training and education, workshops, corporate offers and excursions for all people willing to collaborate.
Sure! Please check our calendar before your visit. Every visitor must register before coming to the laboratory, you can do it on this website or just contact one of our managers.
Yes. Just make sure one of fablab managers approved that your material is suitable for specific machine. (For example, chlorinated plastics are forbidden to laser cut)
No, but in the laboratory you can buy materials from our partners for a prime cost.
Materials for 3D printing: FDM filament (PLA, ABS, coPET, Nylon); SLA, DLP - photopolymers, nylon powder SLS
Materials for laser cutter: plywood (4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm), transparent, white acrylic (3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm)
CNC milling: MDF, plywood, wood, aluminum
You can use any kind of CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, Sketch Up, 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D, Rhinoceros etc). For 3D printing or 3D relief milling the best file format is .stl (stereolithography).
In the laboratory there are four 3D printing technologies available:
FDM — layer overlay of plastic. Accuracy 50 μm = 0.005 mm
SLA and DLP — polymerization with laser beam. Accuracy 25 μm - 100 μm (0.0025 mm - 0.01 mm)
SLS — selective laser sintering of powder. Accuracy 100 μm = 0, 01 mm
FabLab Fabricator is an innovation workshop with easy access to equipment for anyone who needs it.
Here you can make almost anything you wish (if it doesn’t hurt anyone). We will help you to learn how to implement your own projects using our equipment.
People of all ages can use various services in the laboratory.
We invite you to register for a guided tour within our open days, when Fabricator is opened for all visitors. You can explore the space and get some useful information from our staff and volunteers regarding the equipment and software, as well as materials available to purchase. You can discuss a possibility of organizing some group workshops or courses for your friends, family or colleagues. Let us know what machines do you prefer to start with — laser cutter, 3D printer, embroidery machine or anything else.
Fab Lab is equipped with digital machines ranging from 3D printers, laser cutters and milling machines, sewing embroidery machines to various electronic components and materials. Fab Lab also provides access to computers and easy-to-use design and software production, capturing your ideas and turning them into reality.
FabLab is a unique combination of modern digital production equipment (3D printers, 3D scanners, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, textile, electronics, and post-processing areas), as well as software, experience and knowledge of engineers, designers, architects.
In addition, this modern creative space - coworking for work and exchange of ideas.
